I noticed this community isn’t very active, but I’d like to share my experience of meeting James last month in London.

I’m a staff member of David Thewlis Rox, and I went with the administrator to Breakfast At Tiffany’s, because Thewlis spouse, Anna Friel, is playing Holly Golightly in this play.

We waited a lot for Anna backstage, and James was there all-the-time! When he wasn’t needed inside, he always went to smoke outside. We talked a lot with him and he was extremely friendly!

James has a part in this play. He plays O.J Berman (and he’s like… shouting all the time). His part was great and I loved to watch him!

I wasn’t really familiar with his work, but I read in the programmebook he was in Notting Hill (I at once knew which role he played), so that clarified a lot. My friend and I were crushing pretty madly on him

I haven’t seen much of him yet, but what I’ve seen has been simply hilarious. I’m going to get the Thin Blue Line this weekend to satisfy my James needs.

Here is the pic me and my friend took with James

And this is a portrait that hung at hte entrance.

I hope to return to London in January to see the show again.

Hey! [09 Jan 2009|03:57pm]

[ mood | okay ]

I don't know if this place is still active or not but I wanted to say hi anyways :) I've been a fan of the lovely James since first clapping eyes on him in Thin Blue Line when I was only 8 years old. haha!
Then, I went onto getting completely hooked on Gimme Gimme Gimme! I remember shouting "It's Goody!" when I saw the first episode of it haha! >.<
I loved watching him in Hell's Kitchen too! heehee!
So yeah since Thin Blue Line, I've always followed his career & have always been astounded by how under-rated he is....like his performance in "Double Time" it was absolutely amazing! But hardly anyone saw it I think...it's such a shame.
He's one of our best comic actors without a doubt & we should see him ALOT more!

So that's it...feel free to say hi or whatever :D Take care!

PS. Does anyone know where I can find some Gimme Gimme Gimme icons?

Hi! [27 Oct 2007|09:33pm]

Hey there!
I'm really glad I found this little community - I absolutely love James Dreyfus, he's hilarious. I've only actually seen him in "The Thin Blue Line" (I saw the DVDs a few weeks back) and I loved him. He was by far the best character in the sitcom, and I watched the eps repeatedly for about a month. :P

The only thing is, I'm annoyed there wasn't a third series of TBL. Could the actors maybe get together and make a few more episodes?

Oh, and if you go over to my Youtube account, you'll find about a billion TBL clips featuring JD that I uploaded. :P Enjoy!

Just saw James on "Britain's Best Sitcom". He said he got letters from real policemen who said they were now called PC Goody, and got pictures of him on their lockers. He seems to have put on quite a bit of weight :-/ Still good, though. :)

wowo! I'm so glad to have found this JamesDreyfus community!

Plasticbambi where'd you get that scandelous Kathy + James pic? I love it.

Well I adore gimmegimmegimme and want it back- A week or so ago I saw a little snippet of Kathy Burke/Linda in OK on a "celebritys page" and she's about to release her new drama about a woman and her washing machine. Maybe James will make an ocassional cameo?

PS---a little unrelated, but has anyone seen mirrorball?

take care

PS - starter of this (sorry, I just looked at your profile to see what your name was and have promptly forgotten it *blushes*) I saw you liked Madonna, thought you may like this. It's a cover of 'Like a Prayer' by an unsigned band called Glitterbug - you may or may not like it, but hey - it's worth a go, yes?!
